Before you set out

Prepare for the trip

Much of the route has no signal. Save the guide to your phone at home, on Wi-Fi, and it will work in the forest just as it does here.

Getting your phone ready

iPhone · Safari

  1. Open the site in Safari and tap Share → Add to Home Screen.
  2. Open the guide from its home-screen icon and, still online, tap "Save everything" on this page there.
  3. Safari erases saved data for a site not opened in 7 days, so do it shortly before you go. What the home-screen app saves is not erased.

Android · Chrome

  1. In Chrome, tap Install at the bottom of the page, or menu ⋮ → Install app.
  2. Tap "Save everything" on this page.
  3. What is saved stays on the phone until you clear the browser's data yourself.

Check before you go

  1. Turn on airplane mode (and Wi-Fi off), then open a few points and the map.
  2. A "no connection" strip appears at the bottom — that is expected. Pages, the map and saved photos should all open.
